Post subject: narrow string spacing help less than 2"

I have an 86 japanese squire stratocaster that im trying to replace the pickups on. The only problem is that i cant find pickups that fit. The string spacing is less than 2 inches. ANyone have a clue where to get some pickups that fit my

I think you will find that regular Strat pickups will work just fine.

they work ok i guess its just that the pole pieces dont line up with the strings esp the treble strings. The pole for the skinny E string isnt even under the string at all. HELP!

Thats just the way they are. Even on Fenders not all the pole pieces line up with the strings
