Nice guitar there evad44. I bought one like yours in 1984, mine has a rosewood fretboard and a neck date of September 1983. So our guitars are 27 years old now!

Very Cool!

Your pic from 84 looks like me back then. I didn't buy any guitars after '69 until 2008.

I didn't buy another electric guitar until 2002 since I have bought 2 others 1 of them just a few weeks ago.

Here's a few pics of mine, I did some cosmetic changes and still have all the original parts.

Nice pics, looks good 5er driver, I have never taken my neck off mine so not sure of the actual date
the only thing I've changed on my squire was the pickups, the original ones are long gone
I have the texas specials in now.
I have a '94 40th anniversary stratocaster (the one they made thousands of)
I tell ya the squire is a much better playin guitar I'll probably never get rid of it.
last summer it fell over and got a ding on the fretboard at the 1st fret I was bummed
of course the body has a lot of little dings and scratches.

My fender squier stratocaster is a Made In Indonesia Strat HSS and for my birthday i wanted a classic vibe 50's strat in 2 tone sunburst and with maple fretboard but instead got a squire HSS Strat :( i love the classic vibe series better though its a good buy if u want a vintage strat but cant afford one
