Simply for the novelty of it. A Fender Les Paul for all intentions.

Anyone know much about the guitar? Is it settup like Fender instruments or is it a true LP clone? Like if I wish to mod it, what type of tuners, etc should I invest in.

C'mon, Ceallach. You've been around long enough to know that we demand pictures before answering any questions. 8)

The only thing I can think of that comes anywhere near that description would be an Esprit.

It was bought online, as soon as I get it, I'll post some pics.

It is indeed a Squier Les Paul(clone).

Like this, only in cherry sunburst with the traditional Les Paul pickguard and switch accents(possibly added later) and block inlays.

You know, I vaguely remember a thread on here a good while back. When Fender bought Guild/DeArmond, they rebranded some of the DeArmonds as Squiers.

Squier M70s? M77? Something like that.

A very high quality made guitar by the way.

High Quality you say? I really wasn't expecting much out of this guy, but if it is quality then awesome.

The quality of my DeArmond is very good. It was made in Korea but it has USA DeArmond pickups. I can't vouch for the Squier model but if it is anything like my M75 it is a great guitar.

That's a joke right? Surely you have seen the shitstorm Gibson created last week when they announced their new "Jimi" stratclone. Though it seems to be shitcanned now.
