hello
I think I need some help from much more expirenced guys like you
I just found this one on ebay http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.dll? ... TQ:GB:1123
It looks like 3 colour sunburst body definetly not the cherry sunburst . but even if the light was wrong the wood grain in cherry sunburst always goes from " left to right" and all bodies in 3 sunburst colour goes in the direction from bridge to neck . Am I right ??? SO in my opinion the pickguard was changed or.. :) ?
and one more . do you think those 3 seymore duncan pickups should be signed "duncan designed" as I see on photos of this model on the web :)

Plese help it looks ok but I ve never seen this colour that comes with this pickguard
best regards Irek

Yeah, I am not really sure if its totally what the Seller claims it is....I mean the neck is definitely from a Vintage Modified Squier, but the body grain is different that those pictured on Squiers website. Now there sometimes are differences between the pictures on the website and what is being sold, but I am not sure if this is the case for this particular guitar. I think Duncan Designed single coils do say Duncan Design on them, but I can't be 100% on that since I only own some Duncan Design HBs, however, if it was me, there are enough things about this listing that are weird, like the woodgrain, PG and PUs, that I would just wait for another auction or save up money to get one from a legit Fender/Squier dealer, but thats just what I would do, you don't have to do it...

yes thats exactly what I feel .
I mean with this wood grain it might have been a 3sunburst if it had had a black pickguard http://www.musicmattersuk.co.uk/acatalo ... tsbbig.jpg
and its definitely not a cherry because cherry always has body top made of "two halfs" and the grani goes from the middle to left and from the middle to right like in some Les pauls

I just recived an email from that seller saying that picguard pickup covers and knobs 's been replaced as it sais in the description :)
dont know what to think . Looks ok now

It's just a shame when people start gouging other people on Squier guitars on ebay. I wouldn't buy it with a description of a VM. Does not look like any I have ever seen before. Buyer beware!!! The Duncans have been removed.

In reading the discription i'd say it's legit. You can check the serial # too. The seller has a 100% positive feedback with over 1200 transactions so it's not a fly by night rip-off.
