I got a bone nut on my Squier '51.Now it really plays great.I really love the stock pickups on this guitar, especially the humbucker.I thought I would miss having a tone control but I don't because the volume control is really good so you just have to tuern it down a little if you want to cut the treble. It's really a well designed circuit.

Sweet Duo Sonic! one Q on the '51, how's the tone from that? I had heard that they're made of MDF, which is basically compressed cardboard, and the same material used for the "Hamer" Slammer guitars. really like the style of the '51s otherwise

Thanks for the post.I love the way my '51 sounds.I think it is made of basswood. It is very loud when I play it unplugged. Really,if these were made of plywood nobody would be bothering to mod them.
