Spoken like a true gear snob! I will put my Made in China CV 60 (only mod done to is is purely cosmetic) against any Fender MIM Standard (stock SSS) any day. Tone, feel, and craftmanship of these guitars are only beaten with present day MIA and CIJ Fenders.

In fact when I bought my Squier CV 60 I was actually looking for a Fender Standard (MIM). I just could not spend the extra $150 on a guitar that in my opinion was sub-standard and have to be gutted within weeks of buying it just to get the sound I got from the CV 60.

My Squier CV 60 Stratocaster is the perfect companion to my Fender Highway 1 Stratocaster.

Look at the mods you did to your bass. Hmmm, you may have been better off buying a CV Bass.

im not sayin that they always sucked... they were sweet when the were made in japan in the 80's

but now the are not very desirable since they started making the in indonesia and korea...

Check out the current batch of Squier Deluxe Series and Classic Vibe Series. I think you'll be very pleasantly surprised with the quality.

In the interest of full disclosure, I have a 2007 Squier Standard Stratocaster (CII) and a 2008 Fender Classic Player Jazzmaster Special (MIM). Believe it or not, I play the Squier much more often than the Fender! 8)

I see I am gaining zero traction with you, so I will quit while I'm ahead. I hope the rest of the forum is as patient with your snobbish ways as I have tried to be. :?

As I said, people will be nice to you if you are nice to them. It's up to you.

They were also made in Korea in the Eighties, and those were just fine too. Also were made in Japan, Mexio, and America.

How can they be over played? People like you snub their noses at them. And if they are over played then doen't that mean that people find them good? I had someone tonight take a double take on my guitar tonight while I was playing, he thought it was a Fender at first. Over rated...more like under rated.

???

I do not have to tune my guitar for days at a time (and I play every day). You must not have played the CV series or the VM Series Squiers. The rest of your post is nonsense. I would also watch the profanity and rude coments, people get banned for stuff like that. And leave my wife out of this!!!
