I sold off a Squier Fat Tele a couple years ago because I needed some cash (but it also started out a new musician so +1). Been looking ever since for another body to start a build from scratch with an old rosewood Squier neck I have. Anyone have an idea what years Squier had the Fat Tele bodies but sold with a single coil in the neck? I ask sellers on eBay offering lower priced Teles if there is a humbucker route in the neck and all of them have been single coil routes. Did Squier only offer the Teles with the humbucker in the neck as the "Fat" Tele? PS, I'm not laying out $350 for one of the new Classic Vibe type guitars to get the humbucker body (and I don't like maple necks) - may as well buy a Fender MIM body which is probably what I'm going to have to do. Many thanks . . .

The CV series is worth every penny they are being sold for. My CV 60 Strat blows any MIM Fender Standard Strat out of the water (which is why I bought it instead of a Fender Standard). If you are only looking for a body, can't you just find a body off E-bay to buy cheaply?
