Hello all,

I'm in a terrible little punk rock band, my instruments of choice are a Fender Japan Jaguar, an old SG and a slightly abused MIM Jazzmaster.

The Jaggie and Jazzmaster are two guitars I really don't want to $@!& up too bad, be it from road wear or things going south in a bad way at shows.

The jagmaster is an interesting prospect. How does it sound and play? Will it need to be adjusted much? How are the stock pups?

I like my Jagmaster and the stock pickups a lot. It did not need much of a setup, but I don't know how it compares with a Jaguar or a Jazzmaster, but I like the fact it sort of feels a bit strat-ish due the the contours and neck, but a bit Gibsonish as well with the 24" scale...

I've got one that I'm looking to sell if you're interested. Great guitar with an awesome sound but my monster-sized fingers don't do well with the 24" scale. The stock pickups are significantly better than you'd expect from a guitar in that price range.

The build quality is good, the playability is great. I kept the stock pups as I liked them and didn't feel the need to upgrade.
The setup was surprisingly good from the good, all I did was changing strings to 10s and heightens the pups a bit.
I don't use the trem at all, just fixed it down, so I can't tell you anything about how it performs.

Mine is good. The setup was friggin amazing. i am replacing the pickups, the pots, and the 3-way switch with fender parts. Everything counts on the road dude. If you're trying to make it you should make sure you have the best sound possible out there. i'd take a Fender over a squier on the road any day if i could afford it and i go t the sound i needed. With gear you really get what you pay for. If you do decide to get one id look into upgrading the electronics.
