I just noticed that my Squiere Strat is a 20th Anniversary model. Is this guitar worth anything?

Maybe I should reword the question.

Is the 20th Anniv model worth more then a standard Squire Strat? The reason I am asking is because I was thinking about modifying this guitar. But if it has some value over a standard Squire then I would want to buy a new Squire Strat and use that for my project.

New neck, change the body color, add graphics, change the pups are some of the main things I'll be doing with the project guitar. So if using the Anniv model will destroy the value (if it is anymore valuable then a standard) then I'd look at other options

Can anyone enlighten me on this model and if it is worth more then usual?

I see you're getting about as much response as I usually get.

I don't know if it's worth more then usual, but with the extensiveness of the mods you're talking about personally I'd probably do them on a regular guitar and not a 'special' one.

just in case.

I'm in a similar boat myself, one of my Squiers is a signature model and I really want to do some mods to it but I'm hesitant because of it's signature status.

....course I probably will anyway, I've already beat it to hell and back, lol.

I've got an anniversary Strat that is heavily modified. 8) By that I mean the only thing stock is the neck, body, and tremolo assembly. I did keep everything that was replaced so if I ever sell it she'll go back all stock.

Sorry...I am not sure how much it may be worth. If there is something I do not like about a guitar and I can change it, I will. I do keep all the orginal parts to convert it back, just in case I want to. Be adventurous. Take a chance. Good luck with your endeaver.
