Hi everyone

has anyone here changed the pickguard on their 50's strat and if so will one designed for a fender strat fit it? was thinking of getting a pearloid one or the tinted green one cos i dont like the single ply one thats on it but a lot of the sites that sell them say that if its for a fender it wont fit a squier and i cant find ones designed for squier's at all.

thanks in advance

Brian

Brian,

I am not sure about the CV 50, but the CV 60 is a straight fit with a Fender 11 hole pick guard. I just bought a new pick guard for my HWY 1 and held it up against my CV 60 and all the mounting holes lined up and the pups in the neck and middle lined up as well (it did have a humbucker for the bridge so not sure about that hole). If 90% of the holes line up I am pretty sure yours will too.

Did you ever find a replacement pickguard for the cv 50's? Any regular fender '57 strat 8 hole should work, am I right? Similar to SRV, Clapton, etc...

Update on that pickguard...The Highway 1 pickguard was a direct fit for the CV 60. It looks better with the white pickguard and accessaries.
