Could you replace the neck on a squier 51 (25.5 in scale) with the neck from a vintage modified tele (24.75 in scale)?
If I do the math right, that'a a 3/8 in difference for the 12th fret. Will the bridge have to be replaced? Will I be able to adjust the saddles 3/8 of an inch?

3/8th isn't much but you are going to be running up against the tremlo screws. Another option would be to sand the neck pocket and get the neck in closer to the tremlo. Or you could throw out the tremlo and get a fixed bridge glue a piece of wood in the tremlo hole so you can screw in your new bridge.

My advice would be to leave the Strat alone and use the neck on a Tele body. Then you will have two guitars to play and work on. Just a thought.

Check out www.stewmac.com or Wormoth (google it, I never spell it right).

Good luck
