Post subject: Help with Squier upgrades.

I purchased a 1997 MIK Squier Start a few weeks ago. After a full body reworking I am starting to look into hardware. I have very little experience with these guitars and was wondering how easily genuine Fender parts like the tremolo carry over to these Squiers.

I am not sure about that particular series, but my MIK Squier HM had a Licensed Floy Rose on it. When I changed it over to a Floyd Rose pro a decade later, it had to be professionaly installed due to the deeper routing needed to accomidate it. I also could not put the Tremelo Spring cover plate back on.

I heard that some Squier parts do not have the same deminsions as their Fender counterparts. Check ou this site for help:

i have a cv 50s squier strat that i coustomized with all black hardware...tuners tremolo strap buttons neck plate string tree input jack and even a black pickgaurd......all ordered from guitarfetish.com and it all fit to a tee check them out!!!!! they are da bomb!!! and reasonable too...eddie
