Hey everyone I have a question. I have a Squire Bullet Special Strat and this was my first guitar hence the reason I'm asking. I want to keep it all original but on my low e (or sixth string) the bridge saddle is creating a rattling noise from the string vibration, one of the screws to raise and lower the tension is lose and that could be the problem but it wont stay tight. The issue is this was my first guitar and I love how it feels and sounds but I want to keep it all original. Is there a way to fix this or should I just leave it on a wall?

Any help or advice is greatly appreciated.

I think you are referring to the small screws on each saddle that adjust height? Sometimes during string changes, those can get loose and rattle while playing, and you'll need to adjust it with a 1.5mm hex wrench. If the screw is stripped, then you can try and find some guitar saddle height adjustment screws at your local store or the internet.

As far as keeping it all original, thats cool, but one small screw won't affect the "original" status of the guitar severely...Look at it like tires on a car. They need to be changed every now and then from use. I mean, you wouldn't stop driving a car just because its tires were getting bald and you didn't want to remove the original, stock tires off the car...Would you?

Here's a thread with some pics where I show how to adjust saddle height screws:

If its not the height screws, but the other one, thats the intonation screw...
