Lost everything in Hurricane Katrina including my #1 Deluxe Players Strat in Blue.javascript:emoticon('') Got back home in November 2005, living on a Carnival Cruise Ship that was docked behind the Riverwalk. All I could afford at the time was a Squire Players Pack (?), Guitar, 15 watt amp, etc.
This guitar is stamped "Made in Indonesia" and I have not seen anybody else say this about their axes...Japan, Mexico, USA...but Indonesia??? And this guitar is the LIGHTEST Fender I've ever played. Sounds better than my DPS, too 'cause I bought another one to replace the one I lost. Only thing I don't really care for is the soft V neck. Might have to check out Warmoth...

Most of the Squier Standard Series are made in Indonesia at the Cort Guitar Factory...

I have an Indonesian Squier from the year 2000. It's actually my main axe. :)

If you're going to change the neck, you'll need to make sure the neck pocket and neck line up, or else be prepared for some modding...
