I would guess a MIM VG would be a good idea. It might take Fender a few years to do it - I would guess they would like to see how many per year they can sell of the current VG before branching out.

I think that it would be a better idea to make the VG technology easily available. Of course those clever-clogs at Fender HQ would have to work out a new, simpler way to put this on guitars. Such as a less complex version to replace the tone pot. That would be cool.... I'd buy one.

Well...hmm. If you got some cheaper VG technology/circuits in there you would seriously compromise the tone...

I think we should see the American version take off and then see if a cheaper version would be made...

i think its a killer idea just on the pricipal of lower cost its like epiphone to gibson its really good quality but it just dont say gibson but lets the 15 year old jimmy page fanatic at least look like him u know

I'm all for it. And most likely, seeing as the whole roland pickup would cost a good bit extra, as long as you put GOOD squier parts on it, which they've been doing lately with the Vintage Modified series, it'll be more for intermediate players that want that option, but don't want to shell out the outrageous price for the Fender.
