FeERi ... please refer to our Code of Conduct prior to posting again. And for the record, I happen to think it's not a bad idea at all, personally. :D

The Fender VG is already the best bang for the buck guitar on the planet.

wouldn't having a high-end modeling guitar defeat the whole purpose of squier guitars? i mean, why put fancy technology in the hands of beginners? a beginner is gonna have a tough enough time learning to play guitar, why complicate things?

now, a more affordable made in mexico version isn't a bad idea.

well see a squier would be cheaper than an MIM and it wouldnt be for mbeginners itd be for people with a low budget who still want a VG

what is the point in putting high-end modelling capabilities in a budget guitar?

but that is such a niche market, it wouldn't make sense to produce them on a wide scale.
squier guitars are designed for and largely bought by beginners. the vg stratocaster is a guitar that will really only appeal to experienced players. i seriously doubt that there are enough people out there that are too poor to own a fender and experienced enough to want a vg strat to warrant squier mass-producing a vg strat.
