Classic Vibes Series are made in China, and if you do an internet search on those guitars, they are very well liked and popular.

The Jagmaster is MIC, and very well liked, though not mentioned enough as well...

And some of the Affinity Series are made in China and get a lot of love from people as well...

So the quality and the guitars from China are great. Guitars from Indonesia and Korea are also great...These days, where a guitar comes from does not indicate anything about the quality of the guitar. Many foreign made guitars are just as good, if not better than USA made guitars...I mean, unless I am mistaken, Fender has banned the sale of any Made In Japan Fenders in the USA because from what I hear, the quality of those instruments sometimes exceeds the USA made Fenders...

Thanks for the response man. That helped a lot.

Doesn't surprise me about the MIJ thing. Japanese people are very meticulous at their work. I had the pleasure of working along side some very good Japanese craftsman here in Vegas some years back. I was blown away by their attention to detail and work ethic.

I own a Squire Classic Vibe 60. Playability--almost as good as my Fender Highway 1. Sound--Very close to my Highway 1, sometimes exceeds it depending on what I am playing (Metal vs Blues). Quality--very good. Stays in tune for days without having to re-tune everytime I pick it up. Tremelo is not the best I have seen on a Stratocaster, but will work for now.

I have owned FMIC products (Fender, Squire, Jackson) from USA, Mexico, Japan, Korea, China, Indonesia, India. I have found them ALL to be good guitars in the price range they compete in.
As far as Squire goes, the best would be my 1997 Pro Tone Precision bass V, from Korea. Very nice build quality!!

Thanks for all the replies!! All of my Squiers are made in Korea, and I must say they did a beautiful job on the now discontinued Stagemaster neck-through guitars. They play like heaven.
