My buddy is selling me a Squier Bullet for $60. I realize it isn't much, but this will be my first foray into the guitar world.

The same buddy is also selling me a mint condition Orange Crush 30r Amp for $100.

I'm looking forward to this.

I am fairly new to the guitar thing too but I have fount it to be like golf. In golf making a great shot gets you hooked. With guitar as soon as you play a good lick.......you are hooked!

That's a great combo to enter in with. Don't let anyone downplay a Squier for you. Maybe it's minus the bells and whistles, but I've had people who play $2k guitars who've loved how my Squire Strat goes.

Enjoy that Bullit...some of the teachers out there have that one for demos and teaching technique. Sounds like you're hooked.

Congrats man! I also had a Squier Strat when I first started, now I'm hoping to buy a fender by late january/february time!

Make it last, if my squier still looked and sounded like it did back then. Then there'd be no point in buying a new one, but I have to, and it's gonna be a Fender!

James.

All I have to say is good luck! and don't give up! It's going to take hard work but it is worth it in the long run!

If you're just starting, yuor fingers will hurt a bit, but just keep going. Don't worry about what others are doing, playing, or saying, just have fun with it...
