I was wondering if anyone has played the Squier Strat mini player. I was thinking of getting one to take with me when I go out or to work. It looks like a good practice guitar when I'm away from home and with the built in speaker I wouldn't need to carry around an amp.
How is the sound? Are there better travel guitars for around the same price?

Thanks for any help :D

I don't know about the Mini Player but I just bought a Squier Mini Strat for my son and have serious problems with intonation. The G-string is so far out that when you self-tune the B-string you have to fret the G-string at the third fret. It's the craziest thing I've ever seen. All the open strings, including the G are tuned to pitch and have decent (not perfect) intonation at the twelth fret except for the G. It's way off. I think I'm actually going to take it back.

Yeah something sounds definitely wrong. I'd take it back or have it checked out. I have been looking at the strat mini also. I just figured the mini player was the same guitar with a built in speaker. It also has a headphone jack built in. I fugured it would be a cool travel guitar, I was just wondering what it sounds like.
