It's a purple standard series. I've also got a SD hotrails in the bridge and noisless in the mid and neck.

Here's another pick of the neck. It's hard to photograph the birdseye though. Another thing I like about this neck is that on most maple neck squires I've seen, the maple fretboard is added on top of the maple neck. This neck is one piece.

I have a purple affinity series. I like the neck but it's no where near as nice looking.

Nice. I have a Standard (9/00) with the same one-piece BE neck out of Indonesia. And a 7/01 Standard (3TSB) one piece that is quarter-sawned also out of Indonesia. Both necks are beautiful and player friendly.

Finally someone else with a squier that has a neck like mine. I was beginning to think I had the only one ever made. Do you think they are rare?

Funny you mention this. I was thinking maybe I should have added "anamoly", but I'm not sure. There have been some dogs that came out of that plant, but there has also been some incredible pieces as well. I'm not sure if these were leftovers or maybe these were at the bottom of the barrel reserved for something else?. The two I own are only 10 months apart, maybe we were just lucky. I am a bit curious as to what is your create date, other than that I'm not complaining, just feeling good that I own the 2 that I have.

She's starting to show her age too. I'm going to pick up some supplies tomorrow. I really need to replace the pickguard screws and polish up the rest of the metal parts.
