Hey folks. I posted something similar on the Stratocaster Forum but I did not get much response.

Let me tell you that the Squire Classic Vibe 60's is a great guitar. I own a Fender HWY 1 Stratocaster and this Classic Vibe comes close to matching it. The sound is very close to my Fender. I like the feel of neck on the Vibe, but it is not as good as the HWY 1.

I played several different guitars in the store before buying it. I wanted a MIM Fender Strat, so I played several and none came close to sounding as good as the Squire Classic Vibe.

In my opinion the Squire Classic Vibe is far superior to the MIM Fender and is the best bang for the buck. It sounds and plays better. I recommend this guitar to any one who is on a fixed budget or wants a good back-up guitar for the one they already have. If you are in the market for a new guitar, put this on your list to test.

Beautiful guitar! I played one in a store a few weeks ago, and I was very impressed. Congratulations! 8)

I just bought the 50s strat in white and the 50s tele as well. I cant wait to get them here!!!! Ive got a road worn 50s strat and its pretty amazing. I cant wait to see how these stack up. Ive also got a little fender super champ xd amp and I have to say that is the greatest little amp ever!! Im in the army and live in a tiny little barracks room and I love how I can get all the great fender sounds and more out of this little setup!

Congrats, I played the 60s strat a few weeks ago and couldnt believe it was a squier. it played better than any of the MIM's in the shop.

Was so tempted but as i already have a Am Dlx strat, and need a tele i went with the classic vibe 50's tele.

As with the strat, the CV tele played better than any of the MIM teles i tried out that day. Mine should arrive in the next few days.

To answer a question asked in a previous post, the (main)difference between teh 50 strat and 60's strat is the pickups. 60s strat has alnico V's, 50's strat has alnico III's
