Post subject: Wanting to customize my squier bullet strat

Are all bullet parts universal to all years??? And i was looking for advice on where to begin as far as customization goes

Which one's? In all honesty the GFS loaded pickguard is your best bet.

Yeah if you're going to spend more than $200 to get new pickups, I suggest to save up some more and get a Fender, or a Squier Standard at least!

You can get nice pickups for a lot less than that. Buying a Standard or whatever will only put you back in the same place unless it comes with nice pickups. But then you're spending some serious money cause they are usually sigs or custom shop.

I've bought Seymour Duncans for $20. So shop around.

Nah, just a ducbucker at GC. I only play on the bridge anyway and although it is not loud it is very clean. I use it for most of my recordings.

I really don't see the point in changing all three especially with the performance these tiny humbuckers can put out (you don't need the middle pickup). I would just change out the one I use the most.

+1. The only time I use the middle pick up on my strat is when I accidentally hit the selector switch. In all honesty, GFS is the place to start for this project.
