Anniversary article on Squier Site states most recent production in Mexico. Anyone know which recent Squiers produced in Mexico?

I've seen Strats at Sam Ash. They came in flat purple and green metalic paint. The necks are really fat. It felt like I was playing my old classical guitar. There are some other Mexicans that don't say Squire with a lot better finish and mimic SRV's and natural wood. They say Fender Strat but when you look in back of the neck it says made in Mexico. I haven't plugged one in but I guess you get what you pay for. I think I also saw a Yngwie made in Mexico. I guess they also have Tele's. The prices here are high so I would try and save for an American. Otherwise you might consider an Asian. I won't mention any brands but consider your options.

Good luck,

Saw Sam Ash internet site and Musician's Friend selling Squier Master Series. Thought they were discontinued?

Just because something is discontinued doesn't mean that you can't sell the stock on hand :D In fact, you can pick up some real nice gear that way.

I picked up a '51 for $99 back in March from samash.com - wonderful guitar - only needed one saddle to be adjusted.

Saw new Tele series on Squier internet site called the "California" series. No pics available yet.
Could these be the new Squiers from Mexico?
