i want to put a new neck(preferably a genuine fender strat neck) on my affinity strat. i bought it about a year and a half ago. some one on here told me that most genuine fender necks wont fit squires. my question was. if the neck didnt have any holes drilled in it, would it be possible if i drilled my own holes that it would fit??? or are they to wide for squires???

In speaking with a Fender rep, the answer to that would be to dowel the existing holes and redrill them. If the neck has not been drilled then simply new holes to fit the body, that what I did and it worked like a charm.

Ok, so I had this maple Mighty Mite neck lying around, and my wife wanted a pink strat with a maple neck, well we all know they come like that, not even the shell pink Fender's. So as I posted before I called Fender, got the info I needed and proceeded to buy a pink Squier Bullit Strat. Set the Mighty Mite neck on the body with clamps drilled the neck, strung it up and man, what a nice playing and sounding chineese plank of wood. I have to say I'm impressed and I think it looks good too.
Have a look...

Nice looking guitar...I'd get some white knobs though. Just a thought.
