First of all - hi everybody, this is my first post here!

Now, on to my question - I've been increasingly interested in Squiers lately, and narrowed my choices down to the "Standard" models. One concern I had was that their color choices seemed rather limited, until I stumbled upon This Cherry Burst one at Bestbuy.com of all places! What's odd, I haven't been able to find any information on it anywhere, including Fender's site, and even Best Buy's own description says "rosewood fingerboard", while the picture is clearly maple! Anyone have any info on this? If it's for real, is it available anywhere or is it discontinued maybe? This model is also available in "antique burst" at a couple of online dealers, anyone care to share experiences/opinions? One concern I have is the agathis body, it really puzzles me that Fender used it on a higher model than the Affinity made of alder.

Thanks in advance![/url]

Yeah, look out for the disclaimer in small letters somewhere "not responsible for typographical errors." That looks like the aniversary one with the alder body. Alder is a very good quality wood.

You should go to Best Buy and check it out before you buy. There are a lot of options and prices.

According to the 2009 Fender Frontline I just picked up yesterday, there are some Squiers in a Cherry Sunburst finish. You mentioned to have looked at the Fender site, but have you checked the Squier website?

There is a Special Edition Squier Strat in Cherry Sunburst (in fact, the one you have a link to is this one because this one has Alnico III pickups):

There is also a Vintage Modified Squier Strat in Cherry Sunburst Flamed Maple Top:
