I just ordered a Fender Deluxe Tele pickguard for mine. I hope it will fit or can be made to fit with a little work cause I paid $62 for it and Sweetie ain't happy

Black abalone pickguard on a black guitar should look good. I have a black abalone pickguard on a powder blue (similar to sonic blue) SX STL50. I get a lot of compliments on the pickguard but to me the light blue color just doesn't match up so I'm going to go to white one on the guitar.

Well your sweetie isn't happy and you may not be when you get the pickguard. The Squier has normal sized HB's whereas the Fender has a what they call a wide range HB and it is bigger than an average HB...soooo...the pu holes maybe a little big.

I can live with that for a while. Actually, I would like to put Fender WRHB's in it later on anyway. Meanwhile, I'll try and post pics of the results but I'm told it will be 2 to 3 weeks before I get the pg.

Congratulations, torresfan! That looks fantastic! That's definitely my next guitar. Have fun with it! 8)
