Looking for a bit of info and I can't seem to find it anywhere...

I got a Jagmaster about a month ago and I'm looking to replace the tuners. It's one of the newer Jagmaster II's. I found some Fender-logo tuners that look pretty nice - I'm just wondering if they'd fit a Jagmaster. I'm kind of a noob...

They're listed as being for a strat or tele, with a standard 3/8" hole. I'm just not sure how big my hole is (there's a sentence I never thought I'd use).

Anyway, if anybody could help me clear that up I'd really appreciate it. Thanks!

That could be real simple or real tricky. For one, the Jagmaster is the only guitar with it's tuners part number. Chances are though, becasue it's a FMIC instrument, those might fit. I would pull one off and measure first just to make sure, and check out the screw holes, if any, too.

The Jagmaster has some pretty solid tuners to begin with, in my experience, but to each his own. Personally, I'd get something locking, if those new ones aren't. More trem fun.

Boy, I'm glad I asked before I ordered them... That's a good idea to measure...I'll go that route. Thanks!

I got a Starcaster about a year ago and since I got the Jagmaster I'm starting to get this weird itch to try doing things to them. I think I might just try monkeying with the starcaster first - the jag is so pretty I'd hate to do anything to ruin her.

Thanks again for the info!

Excellent choice. Strat's are fairly simple to mod, plus it'll build some experience and give you some good examples and ideas for what, or when to move to the Jag. Plus, Jagmasters are such great playing and sounding guitars, I'd have a tough time deciding on potential mods, let alone even doing any.

I always go to Guitar Fetish to get upgrade parts for my import guitars, like Squiers and SX...

Yea, GF has a lot of great parts for Squier modding.

I ordered some new pups (http://store.guitarfetish.com/ovstserewowh.html) from GF that I'm going to put in my starcaster. Hopefully that'll satisify my urges for awhile. I'll let y'all know how it goes.

No kidding! I've been looking around a little at stuff on ebay and amazon then I found mention of guitar fetish on the boards here and my eyes almost fell out of my head.
