A friend bought the SE Strat pack in 05, never learned to play, now I have it. It's not a bad guitar, but a basic black strat with bland tone gets a bit boring after a while. I'm putting new pick ups in it, but while I'm doing that, I want a new pick guard. Preferably brown shell. Anyone know where I can get one that will fit?

I know it's an 11 hole, but I also know that these strats were a bit different from some MIM and Affinities. Anyone know about the Musicians Gear ones?
That's what I've been looking into. Also, anyone have an SE they've modded?

Any info would be much appreciated.

Good call, but do you know if the holes will match up? Even if they're both 11, with they be positioned the same?

I can't vouch for the SE model, but I just put an 11-hole Allparts brand pickguard on my Squier Standard Strat. It lined up just fine. One thing I did notice, however, is that the Allparts pickguard was a little thicker than the original, so I had to shave it down a little so it could fit under the fretboard. But that took just a few minutes with the Dremel tool, and it turned out well.
