How would one go about putting a date on a Squier Vista Jagmaster??

Do they follow this:

Thanks in advance.

The Vista series was only made during the mid 1990's, maybe 1995-96 or so.

They're usually 96-98.

Yeah I know, I'm actually trying to verify a serial number, and if possible match it down to the year.

Any help is appreciated.

Rdog - I'm sure if you list the first 6 alpha-numeric digits in the serial #, someone here may be able to help. We could prob get you Factory, Year and month of production. The two Squiers I have both have dates on the neck heel, combining that info I believe will get you the info you're looking for.

I've been able to confirm the serial date on the jagm that match the list from my first post. Also:

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Squier#Japanese_Squiers says

Japanese Squiers

For Japanese Squier serial number dating, see Fender's serial number dating service. The Japanese MIJ (Made in Japan) Squiers were made by FujiGen up to 1997 and the Japanese CIJ (Crafted in Japan) Squiers were made by Tokai and Dyna from 1997.

This confirms my first guess. HTH someone.
