Have a squier HM strat with floyd rose 2 bridge and locking nut . Various dead spots up around 9th fret for b string , 15th fret for the g string & d string, and just buzzy frets for the lower 2 strings also at the 15th fret. As for the e string (little) , it doesnt have playable problems till fret 21. It's from the early days (80's) I think as i havent tried to find out any thing about it. Just liked the color and dig the tone that came with it. (unmolested) It has mostly been a allright axe for playing rhythm with , but would like to use the other end of the neck too. Can anybody help with some sorta missing fix for this ? THANKS [/list]

I am a firm believer that guitars never come from the factory set. I always adjust the neck and the bridge to my liking. Sounds like you need to raise the action a little or you might have to file the frets above the fret that is dead. This should take the twang out of it.

Sounds like she just needs some TLC. Get the frets checked, get them dressed and get a complete setup.

Thanks for the info. Most likely will take it to have a set up done on it . But just thought that it might be something overlooked since my others are set necks and non-trem tails. THANKS !
