Well he has two fender models so I can't imagine that he would need a Squier, unless it's just marketing. I like J5, he's cool. If he did have one I think it should be the Triple Tele Deluxe. That gets my vote.

A local shop had the John5 tele. I have never picked up a heavier guitar :!: Does bigsby make a lead tremolo? Heavier than any Les Paul or any bass. Crazy!

I think Fender should give John5 whatever he wants especially if they can convince him to endorse the Starcaster. I know it will probably be a seen like when UPS asked Dale Jarret to race the truck but think of what it would do for sales at Target and Walmart. The other company is using a Goth theme right now and has stolen market share from Fender.

Thanks for the update, nght5tlkr. As I read the specs, I realize it may not be the right guitar for me. But I'm still going to try to go out and see John 5 in San Antonio on the 5th! 8)

I really like the black and chrome theme and it's even better with two humbuckers, however I have to many guitars as it is. I'm just glad they didn't make a Squier version of the Triple Tele Deluxe because I would've bought that.
