Just got a new Affinity Telecaster Special (Butterscotch Blonde). Beautiful finish and sounds pretty good. Just one issue right now. The Plug.
It seems to be dropping my cables with the slightest movement. I also have a Vox headphone amp and it falls out as well.

Anyone else had an issue like this? What is the fix? I am learner-stage, but willing to tinker.

Either one of two things:
1) Tighten the bolt at the base of the input jack. Use wrench or pliers to tighten the loose connector bolt. A Strat has a rounded metal sleeve that encases the input jack. There is a small bolt at front of the input jack that can become loose and need tightening from time to time. Typically when this bolt becomes loose, the guitar connection is no longer secure, which can result in a crackling sound when you play your guitar. You can use either a small adjustable wrench or a pair of needle nose pliers to tighten this jack snug. Most people prefer a pair of needle nose pliers as the bolt that is attached to the input jack is rather small. Simply use your wrench or pliers and tightened that bolt all of the way.

2) Bend the clip that engages your cord. Below is a good picture. Just bend it slightly so that it will engage your cord more firmly.

And then after doing all the things mentioned above, in order to prevent it from loosening up again, its always best make sure when its plugged in that you do not position the guitar in such a manner where you or something is always pushing on the cable plug into the guitar or is constantly pushing on the plug at an angle, because this is one of the main ways the jacks get loose in the first place.

OK, thanks fellas. I'll give it a shot Bolt tighten.
I assume loosening it will let me extract the unit to bend the clip (tele not strat). We'll see.
