I bought the Jagmaster last summer and I get a real kick out of it. I have 3 Fender's but this one is so much more fun to play. It looks great and the two humbuckers put out a really nice sound.

I was pleasantly surprised by the quality of the finish and the great sound that came out of this guitar at such a low price. I got it thinking I would upgrade many of the parts, but it wasn't necessary.

It's a great little guitar for the money. I've actually gigged with it and people always want to play it. I can't even really tell that it has a shorter scale neck.

:P

The jagmaster is pretty good If thats what you want it needs pickup, tuners, and bridge upgrades to compete with a jaguar on any scale :D . For more cheap great guitars check out www.rondomusic.com.

I bought a Jagmaster about a year ago and the tone quality is superb, nice neck but take it easy on the tremelo. I play it through my Sunn Concert Lead and I can get everything from Beach Boys to heavy Neil Young!

Try it, and see if you like it...But be warned, I bought a Squier Jagmaster a few years ago, and it fueled my Squier addiction which I was able to cure 6 Squier Telecasters later...Seriously...

I already have the squier addiction! I like guitars that I dont have to worry about if I throw it out the window when my riffage isn't slammin'.

I cured my Squier addiction by getting hooked onto the SX and Douglas guitars offered by Rondo Music...I then cured my Rondo addiction by getting a bit hooked on GFS Pickups, which I must now put in all my SX and Douglas guitars I got from Rondo...The Squiers are all stock, cause I find them good as-is though...

How are the rondos? They look good, how do they work?

I find them to be as nice as the Squiers and don't need as much of an initial setup as some of the Squiers I have...but all my Squiers are stock, cause they sound and play great...meanwhile I am in the process of getting some new pickups for some of my SXs because while they were okay at first, but now just kind of sound bland. Not to mention a couple of weird issues with the wiring I have discovered in one of them. Don't get me wrong, the guitars themselves are great, just some minor hardware and electronic issues. I'll put it this way, if you want something that's great stock and unmodded, I'd say go for Squier. If you're looking to for a great platform to mod, then I'd get the SXs. Some may say the SXs are made with better wood, but I find some of the hardware on the SXs not to be as good as the Squier stuff...

As far as how they work, they are just like any other guitar, but these guitars at Rondo are sort of like the store branded items at many retailers. They are just as comparable with many name brand products, but just don't have the name brand price. I don't know for sure about all of them, but many of the guitars that Rondo sells are made in the same Asian factories that many big named guitar brands get their stuff made in, like Epiphone, Peavey, Ibanez, and perhaps some of the various Squiers too...

I have it, in black, and I love it.
I find myself practising on it the most.
