Jeff that has to be the coolest guitar case I've ever seen!

Just got me a Squier Strat two days ago. My very first guitar and can't put her down already! I know it's nothing when compared to the beauties posted in this thread but I think it's a great place to start!

Looks really nice. Burst + Tortoise shell is a good combo.

Well here is my classic vibe 50's strat, olympic white with brushed gold aluminium scratchplate, i got it as i can niether afford a gilmour replica or play well enough to warrant spending that kind of money on one, i saw this little beauty and recognised it as looking like gilmours 0001 (google it) so just had to have it. I have not done any upgrades as yet but am thinking of copper lining it to reduce hum, and changing the alnico3 pups for something more gilmouresque

This one started out as Squier Custom II P-90 model. I had a Squier Standard Tele (Rolling Rock Beer) that looked great, but no tone.Image
I traded bodies with a collector in San Diego, then swapped necks with one of my Squier '51s so I could have a RW board '51 and a truly blonde Tele...

This one started out as a Squier SE from Craigslist for $25. Came with roadrunner gig-bag, black pearloid PG and silver duck tape stripe job...
Image
I started modding, adding tuners and nut. I was also shopping for a used Kenny Wayne Shepherd Strat. When I had no luck with that, I decided to make this SE my DIY KWS project.
Warmoth fatback neck 12-16" radius with vintage-style tuners, 6100 frets, and nut from Stewmac. Finished with Tru-oil.
Trem and US electronics from GFS, .1 meg tonecap from Radio Shack, and KWS-spec pups from Benson Custom.

Total cost came to approx $400, the same as I spent on the used KWS Strat I found a month later...

CV50s Strat. the only un-modded one in the family. The KWS model in the family pic was $400 w/tweed roadrunner case from DFW Craigslist. Good price since some jackwagon took a sander to it....

Today, I purchased my first guitar-it's a Squier Classic Vibe 50's Telecaster along with a gig bag, some picks, and a cloth although I want to purchase a Fender Mustang I amp, along with a guitar case, and other necessities as time goes by. But for now, I'm happy that I got my Squier and look forward to unleashing my creativity through music and embarking on a artistic journey. By the way, I'm Ryan.

I have some experience in music since I used to play violin when I was younger, so I'm a bit rusty in the music area, but I welcome the challenge. :D

Here she is, well, it's a he actually, meet Jeremy.
My first guitar, used to be a boggo Affinity Strat that i got for £75 with a Frontman 15G on eBay.
The pickups are all from eBay, an Ibanez bridge, a Fender Strat middle and an Epiphone neck, couple of quid each, but my shonky wiring somehow means it makes a completely different sound in all five places on the selector.
The pickguard is card, about 1mm thick, the photos aren't great but the white bits are actually green, orange and pink highlighter.
The straplocks are a beer bottle top and a 2p coin.
Oh and the headstock has black binding in the form of a drunkenly drawn line in permanent marker.
It's a scabby dog but howls like a wolf.

The shortened whammy bar is a nice touch. David Gilmour uses short tremolos on his strats since 1984.

Did you are a huge Pink Floyd fan?

YES, Huge Pink Floyd-Gilmour fan. There is a guy on Ebay that sells the Shortened Gilmour Tremolo bars. I like the feel of it. THX!
