Nice guitar. What is the tremelo like? Is it like a Strat?

Thanks!
Yeah, it is a "vintage style" strat bridge.

My Squier FSR Detanator(stock) flanked by Affinity Strat body, with aftermarket Neck(neck was missing when it was handed down to me) W/ Hot Rails. Other than that couldn't be more happier. :D

My Squire Standard a couple of weeks after I bought her along with my somewhat road worn Lab L5. I have since replaced the "mint green" pick guard and such with white and she's going to be getting a set of VN pups in the next week.

Enjoy,

Thanks for the kind words. I was actually playing around a bit when I shot that...I had wanted to get a shot of it for a bud of mine, but as I'm also a photographer, I felt the need to be a little "creative". I had shot that down in my studio (music studio...I don't have a photography studio...yet) as a long exposure and I had actually lit the scene selectively with a MAGlite (aka painting with light). There's a couple of things in the shot that really bug me...I should have moved the stupid heaters out of the back ground and I probably shouldn't have shot it in front of my blue piano (or at least I should have dusted the piano bench), etc.. One of these days I'm going to go back and shoot it again and I'll be a little more selective about it.

Anyways, again thanks for the kind words!
Jim

2004 Fat Tele bought this week. In almost as good condition as the one I sold 2 months ago  (probably earlier in the thread) but is about a pound lighter at bang on 7.5 lbs
Bought it because I want a guitar for open G tuning and cannot be arsed retuning my FSR every time I want to murder a Stones number. (Sweet rationalisation there, if I say so myself)
Now I have to try and find a Squier Custom/Custom II neck to replace the one I used to have on my old Fatty, which I also sold.
Don't judge me!

If you're wondering, the tape etc at the bottom is from me fixing the strap button which had stripped the thread. 4 toothpicks, a few dollops of wood glue, masking tape and a Stanley knife - MacGyver watch out.

Well...I did it again. I went out this last weekend and bought -another- guitar! LOL! For anyone counting, this makes #20. She's just a basic Squire Bullet but she's perfect for what I'm looking to use her for (now that I have her fixed...the out jack was disconnected new out of the box). Anyways, here's a pic....

I shot this down in my studio and did the "painting with light" thing again...this was actually lit with a MAGlite. The case is the new tweed case that my wife got me for the holidays. Enjoy.

Peace,
Jim

Nope...no diffusion. I just adjust the MAGlite to a really narrow beam, then I "brush" the guitar with the light during the long exposure. The camera is of course mounted on a tripod and I use the timer to open the shutter. Also, I use manual focus...I'll turn the lights on, focus the camera, then turn the lights off and hit the shutter button. When the timer stops beeping, I'll turn on the MAGlite and just selectively light the areas I want. It's a lot of fun to mess around with, especially for still lifes and usually produces really cool results. It's almost as much like painting as it is photography :D.

Thanks for the kind words!
Jim
