I have been a member of the forum for a short time. I have been playing regularly for about 3 years. From information I have found I the forum I have found myself searching music stores for many of the Squiers not produced any more. I have a quires a small but nice collection. This week I picked up a Classic Vibe 60's used for 200. I love this guitar. Twice I have gone out looking to but a Fender and both time i have gone with the squier. I mentioned the Vibe and before it was a Chambered Tele.
I have 2 51's Esprit m80 and a fender hwy1 tele also. here is my point for what it is worth. Last year i went fly fishing with my boss he looked like th poster boy for Orvis. He had a $600 reel. My entire outfit cost about $125.00 I caught more fish. I am into photograpgy a bit, I have a Nikon D40 a decent camera definately not top of line for digital SLR but in right hands takes great pictures. Last year I saw a beautiful picture someone took I asked how he took it he said "Cell Phone" here is my point.
Im 55 make a decent living I am average middle class. I am not wealthy but not hearting either and I play so much my wife supports and encourages my guitar interest. bottom line Squire makes a really nice guitar. From what I have seen in the stores the higher end squiers are nicer than the bottom line fenders. If you pick it up and like it buy it. If yourare the next Stevie Ray or Eric upgrade but in the mean time you can get a nice guitar for a nice price and leave some cash in you check account and have hours of great enjoyment.

also a tip - if you want to improve the sound of your guitar by a Blues Junior. You will sound better than you are. I have had a few "amps" over the past 3 years the Blues Jr is just unbeleiveable.

That lil' amp, The BluesJr. is very versatile & it can do a great job for a good many bar/lounge gigs.
The sound w/ the C/V Squier really has tone of the ol' days.

...keeping & lovin' the original PUs,
Vin
