I'm pretty excited! I ordered a Squier Deluxe Stratocaster (Daphne Blue) from Musicians friend. I've been very impressed with the quality of my Squier Standard Telecaster. If the Strat plays as good as my Tele I'll be a happy customer.

Right on dude... did you get the scratch and dent I saw? Wow you must be anticipating its delivery.

Yes, I got the scratch and dent. It was discounted for the scratch and dent, plus I had a $20 customer loyalty cupon from Musiciansfriend. The total price was under $200. How could I resist?

Great. What a bargain, if it isn't badly damaged. Please let us know how it is and post some pics.

Paid $300 for mine, but that was at a local store & they special ordered it for me to put on layaway!!!! Beautiful guitar. I've been playing an MIA I borrowed from a friend, and my deluxe feels as good as that one did.

It's over on the Squier Club thread...but aw heck..here it is again:

Here's a couple pics of her as she looked out of the box (next to my Hwy 1 Strat for comparison).

Here she is after I completed my mods. I installed 2 extra tremelo sprigs and tightened them to give myself a fixed bridge. I also moved the volume control and and made the middle pickup tone a master tone for the neck and middle pickups. This gets the volume knob out of my way. Other than that, she's stock.

Wow your guitar looks great. I would like to know what the s n' d is on that guitar. Is there actually damage or is it just a return someone got cold feet about?

I don't know. I couldn't find the "blemish" or "scratch 'n dent." Anyway, the pickups sound good and I'm impressed with the overall quality. It's definately a steal at less than 1/5 the price of an American Standard.

Congrats on a beautiful guitar. I have a Cyclone in that Daphne Blue - what a great color!

It's great that there isn't any visible damage to your guitar. Next time I consider a MF scratch 'n dent I'll have more confidence.

Very nice! Great color on Strats, as well as surf green. Those are awesome colors.

I always liked the surf green Jeff Beck strats. I'll probably never own one but I can admire them from afar.

My two favotire colors. I could get a MIM in Surf Green, but it would have run about $600. Few years down the road, I'll figure out a way to get a Surf Green Jazzmaster.
