Hello guys a girls ! I'm wanting to get my grandson a squier for Christmas and I'm not familiar with the different models. I know that the vibe series is supposed to be good. What I'm trying to ask is what should I buy him? A top squier by itself or one of the packs with the amp? Thanks for your opinions! Would like to stay between $200 and $300.

Actually his dad is paying for it and I told him I would get ya'll's advice on this forum for him. I've already got his gift.

Just had the pleasure of "demoing" a CV50. My EXACT thoughts were, if I were to buy a guitar for someone, at this price range, this would be it. I now TOTALLY understand the buzz. It gets my vote!

Yep, you can get the classic "bumble bee" or "super-hornet". And if your money is long, there's the CS "Africanize" buzz.......

I tried to tell my son to get a vintage 50 or 60 but his wife had already bought a Affinity HSS with the G-DEC Jr, oh well! :)

At least it's in the Fender family. He'll have fun with that G-DEC Jr.

That's true and if he sticks with it I'll take care of him!
