I inherited an X-155 w/ a tobbacco sunburst finish, gold "S" tail piece, no pickup covers, duncan designed pick-ups. I have been trying to find out more about these guitars, I found one for a friend of mine for about $300.

There is not a whole lot of info out there on these nice guitars. If there is anyone who has then (I know they also made limited runs of some called "White Heat & Blue Heat" seen pics of a "White Heat but none of a "Blue Heat") I have even seen one in a natural finish w/ EMG Active pick-ups on it & w/ a Bigsby) but other than that no real info. I have e-mailed the serial # & stuff to Fender but all that got me was a psuedo build sheat about it.

Please e-mail me ay gbodnar@chandlersigns.com

Very Respectfully,

J. Gary Bodnar

White Heat intro info (with some specs and good photos):

http://namm.harmony-central.com/SNAMM03/Content/Fender/PR/Squier-24-X-155-White-Heat.html

White Heat review with photo:

Didn't find anything about a Squier Blue-Heat.

Hope this helps,

I wonder how well they sold.

I've seen them in the Frontline catalog, but never actually saw one in "real" life.

They weren't exactly inexpensive, so maybe they were quality items.
