I saw a new Squier Tele like none other yesterday... It had:

- a SET neck
- mother-of-pearl BLOCK inlays (with an abalone stripe)
- all hardware was brushed nickel
- dual DD humbuckers (also w/ brushed nickel covers)
- finished in black (including the neck)
- binding around body and neck
- the discounted (aka, "real") price for the in-storemodel was $320

Sound familiar to any one?

It sounds like a Squier Master Series Chambered Tele® HH Eectric Guitar, which were discontinued.

From the old Master Series article at Squier - http://www.squierguitars.com/news/index.php?display_article=67

Quote:
The Chambered Tele® HH is a gorgeous, easy-playing Tele® featuring two Duncan Designed™ humbucking pickups with satin covers, plus platinum hardware and a chambered mahogany body with binding. The mahogany set neck is adorned with Pearloid® block inlays and has a matching painted headcap. Available colors are Black (506), Wine Satin (538), Ebony Satin (539) and Walnut Satin (592).

Of course, they could be bringing it back - one never knows.

Thanks. It seems there have been some intonation issues with this guitar in that the bridge is not in the correct spot?

The reviews at http://reviews.harmony-central.com/reviews/Guitar/product/Fender/Squier+Master+Series+Chambered+Tele/10/1 indicate that some folks has intonation issues with the guitar - so it could be that many of them had issues.

I saw a mahogany one recently and it looks great. Maybe a replacement bridge might have more adjustabilty.
What would a decent street price be for this guitar used?
