Hi Have an early 90's white maple neck strat.Played it in the northern territory oz forever since purchase [wife went to local casino and came back with $500.00 au while i was playing at other gig.Next day she turned up from local music shop cost $370.00 aucall it the Royal Flush.
It has been my work horse as a band player and soloist[computer backing tracks].Replaced machine heads with gotohs and put "fat strat" pickup in lead position, just had frets done yesterday and it looks magnificent.replaced selector swich 3 times in it's life and input jack.
serial no is n16910.
Just trying to play tribute to it ,as it has been such a consistant co worker
I have had the pleasure of playing an L series Strat in the late 70's{felt like a piece of Balsa Wood it was so Light! And I think it is almost as good as the so called Yank Strats.
any thoughts.

Thanks for sharing that story.

I have to agree that an L series Strat can be very nice.
