At the music store, i fell in love...again... witha squier deluxe. It's just one of the smoothest playing instrtuments; comparable to MIMs. This just might be my second guitar if i don't have enough money. And it's a beauty to look at too. The maple fretboard gives a bright sound, it's so easy to play, and i can't tell the difference from a rosewood fretboard, except that it's harder and brighter. Everything about it is so awesome. Anyone else like these? These higher end 200-300 dollar squiers are like mims, sometimes even better. I also landed my eyes on a 2006 cherryburst... :)

I played one of those last month when I was guitar shopping. I played several MIMs and Squiers. The Deluxe played better than any of the MIM stds. I did like a 50s RI, but it was a couple hundred higher. Only thing that stopped me was the maple fb (already have one of those) and the color. I really liked the daphne blue but had my mind set on a sunburst. I thought the deluxe played better than the CV60s I eventually bought.

If you;re not a snob for the big "Fender" on the headstock, these are probably the best you'll find for the money. at least I think so.

I've got a Pearl White Metallic Squier Deluxe Strat coming in any day now, and I couldn't be more excited! I've been a Les Paul guy for years, so this is a big step for me; but squier has proven themselves recently, and I simply can't justify the $$$ for a MIM when these are so high quality! Anyways, I'll let you know what I think when my Deluxe arrives.

Hey Randi and golfcartconspiracy...I agree with both of you...Although the high end guitar do offer their own unique features, this low end guitar do as well...If you love getting different sounds from your gitars is not only about the pups and the making, or model, it is also about the wood and the craftmanship..... I love squier, their sound is raw and not very educated at all, I have not gotten that from Am., although some mims do have it

Is that a Tele or a Strat?

There are no Telecasters in the Deluxe line, just two stratocasters (deluxe, and deluxe hotrails), and a 5 string jazz bass. I could be wrong though...

Well, the time i was talking about the deluxe i didn't play with an amp.

But... just yesterday at the music store i played it through a marshall mg100dfx. It sounded divine! The duncan pickups rock, and the marshall really brings out the tone. It really sounds wonderful, and it looks awesome!!

The guitar itself was a dream to play. I couldn't put it down when i had to leave. My guitar teacher was also there, he plugged a mim std and it hummed like crazy, but this guitar was quiet as ever. No hum. I could not justify buying an mim when i played this thing. (not saying i was gonna buy a guitar, i rely on my parents, and we don't have money to buy me another axe, and my mom always says , "why do you need another guitar?" I explain, but she just doesn't understand the needs of us guitarists. I am buying new strings tomorrow, though :) )

Also was a bullet, but in arctic white, and it also looked fabulous. Well, rock on!

Also just heard the song white room on the radio! Awesome...
