I saw a bunch of Korean Squiers on Ebay these past few weeks.
Anyone know much about the quality of these guitars?
I heard the ones that have C, or CN in the serial numbers are the best?
My main question is about the bodies. I want to get an inexpensive Squier for a project. Are these plywood? (I have an E Series Squier Tele, and it is HEAVY...is this because its plywood?). I've read a lot of varying opinion and comments on the wood. I'm going to replace most everything on it, but just want to know about neck/body quality.
Thanks!

There are a lot of posts on Koreans on this forum. You can follow my info and find a lot of them that I've responded to. The letters mean the factory in China where they came from. I would imagine the wood is about the same and probably low quality from the weight and lack of sustain.

The only thing I consider salvage would be the neck and some hardware. The pickgaurd is not bad, double ply, and you can use the wiring for your new pickups. If you have enough money try and buy and better body from Stewmac or Warmoth.
