wow now you must be feeling really "masculine"
jeez... if you have $200 or so extra money and want to waste them, you'd better give them to some poor guy instead of trying to boost your ego with nonsense.

imo, i'd play one onstage just for the " that just looks wrong " factor of a biker looking guy playing metal on one. the whole idea just cracks me up big time. all these people getting worked up over a starter guitar aimed at kids is pretty weak, at best.

Ya the fact that i DON'T have an extra $200 means I couldn't get one anyway. Also I have helped the homeless before.

My daughter LOVES them. They don't sound too bad. I personally would not choose to have hello kitty on my guitar, but whats the difference between that and a skull, or possibly four dozen stickers or even printing SRV? its just pigment on wood people.

the best reason would be because Yngwie has a Squier Hello Kitty guitar too ...

He loves the pink color.

Besides the pink body, you can also get a black bodied strat with a Hello Kitty pickguard. If I had a daughter in second grade I'd get if for her.

To be honest, the intro/ first comment is a load of BULL but i do see where some opinions against it are coming from.... perhaps if they weren't Fender they wouldnt sell as well or maybe at all as they look tacky and aren't exactly 'American Deluxe BUT with being made by Fender they do have some good points about them and are alot better than other guitars out there the same price.

Not saying i would buy the Hello Kitty but all the same.

I just helped a guy i work with get one for his daughter.

I was pleasantly surprised by it. I will echo a few above , I really like the neck.

I have 2 nieces the right age for that, and am tempted to pull the trigger on 2 more for them. heck I might get one more. An old bandmate, from my metal days, is talking about trying to get a one off reunion gig together for fun. We're all in different cities, but if we do it, it'd be a hoot to break that out for War Ensemble. it wouldn't be too hard to drop some really hot pick-up in there, and get a screaming sound. I'd look just so utterly wrong, it would be irresistible.

the thing i love about this topic is that the guy who started it obviously thought he'd come on and brag and be hailed as some sort of hero

when in actuallity, pretty much everyone has just cut him down for being such an arrogant, egoistic $@!&#

i find that overly funny :D :D

Hah!
This post is hilarious!!
I actually think the Kitty guitar looks kinda cool. I laughed when I saw one on consignment but decided to play it at the music store. I couldn't beleive they would go there.... but they did. I guess they were looking at putting out a lower testosterone model to increase the appeal to our female counterparts!
It reminded me of one of those Squier '51s everyone is trying to Mod these days. This one was set up pretty good, played well enough and sounded decent through the SS Fender amp that was available.

Can't say it's my style, but it played nice enough for a inexpensive guitar that you would by your aspiring teen daughter who wants to try some guitar.

Just never thought to burn any guitar. Not my style, but some cool bullet hole stickers through the Kitty's noggin' would work!!
