cause i don't believe anyone should burn an instrument, but hendrix is a guitar god. i wouldnt have set fire to a guitar if i were hendrix but the passion he had for the instrument showed it wasnt just a show like this guy burning a hello kitty guitar. now, i dont have anything against zakk wylde, he's a great musician, but i don't believe he is close to as great as hendrix was. anyway, there's no need to correct me because it's my own opinion.

Ok, then go burn an instrument, it doesn't matter to me cause i didn't buy it. Oh yeah, stop arguing with me on a public message board, there's no need for it.

Also, it would be great to learn how to spell, or if you know that already then just try reading over what you wrote. It makes you seem less like an idiot when you spell correctly, especially when the word you're attempting to spell is no.

As a guitar repair person and builder... I am firm in my stance that no matter the make or model of guitar, someone put work into it and it is wrong to disrespect that and destroy it if not defective in any way. There have been alot worse things than hello kitty, at least it's a positive image right?

Hello folks.. I believe in artistic expression... However, should you feel the need to dispose of instuments or even parts thereof... My self and a hand ful of guys fix and put together guitars and donate them to underprivledeged kids that would probably never be able to afford an instrument. .. We will take most anything...Necks, bodies, electronics... hardware...
Just my opinion.. I do not wish to start a conversation on what is right .... Thanks !

i think that's cool that you build guitars for underprivaliged kids, but we've kind of changed topics from "burning a hello kitty guitar" to "To burn, or not to burn"

In the hands of someone who really knows how to play, a Hello Kitty Squire could sound as good as your American or MIM Fenders. In the hands of kids or posers, a Hello Kitty Squire is.....well.....just a Hello Kitty Squire. Too bad..........in front of a large crowd, it's a pretty good conversation piece......

Live and let live. It's a bit of fun and probably a half decent guitar. I know someone who bought one and dropped new pups in one - it's awesome now xD

I hate seeing instruments destroyed. Whether it's keith moon or Hendrix or some kid on youtube smashing up a no brand copy - it just seems sacrilegious :(

Man, you could have given it to some poor kid who wants to learn guitar. You could have even gotten a little publicity for yourself or your band. If you don't like the guitar, why buy it. There's a lot worse guitars out there. I would have got myself something good with the money.

i value all opinions, and it plays quite well and it only cost £30 or $57 off a friend who has given up on guitar so it was no loss, and i despise the fact that squire a respectable guitar producer has decided to stoop top the level of hello kitty! it is just a waste of money creating this monstrosity

Actually, though i don't really like the pickguard (though making an Evil Hello Ktty pickguard would be cool) I'm quite glad Squier made those guitars. Just think how many more young girls picked up guitar because of it, and they're starting out on a Strat, which is sure to bring them easier learning and future Fender purchases!!
