Does the Squire Stratocaster come with a finished neck, or an unfinished neck?

What's the gauge of the stock strings? 10s?

Yes...there will be one form or another of "finish" on your guitar's neck. And yes, the stock strings on a Squire Strat are most commonly 10's.

Thanks! I did the fret finishing, and switched to 8's. The frets feel much better and the 8s are easier for me (beginner). :D

Stock strings on all Squier Strat models at the moment are Nickel Plated Steel (.009-.042 Gauges)///Fender® USA 250L Nickel Plated Steel (.009-.042 Gauges).

Actually, the same might apply to all Strats at the moment - the .010" sets used to come with 7.25" fretboard models, but those have just about disappeared from the menu.

Okay, I put 0.008 ~ 0.038 250L on it - better for me.

Yep, that's just the way to go. Stock strings are just a suggestion, a player uses what suits him/her/it best.
