Hey i just wanted to know some good pickups for my squier, maybe in the future i'll replace the stock one(s). I want noiseless, but then again i really want single coil sound!!!

Maybe some advice from you guys could help.

Seymour Duncan has stacked pickups that are supposed to sound like single coils. I have Duc Buckers and Hot Rails that I wouldn't trade for anything in the world. It's just a matter of preference.

Maybe the thing is to have a couple of guitars set up different ways so you can switch from one sound to another.

Also with all the effects boards out there I'm sure you can emulate almost anything.

Good luck with your choice and don't feel bad if you choose the wrong ones. It takes a while to figure out which one is best.

Go see what's happening on Guitar Fetish's web site. Duncans are excellent (got 'em in my Highway One Strat), but think about if you want to invest more money in pickups than what you payed for the guitar!
You can get an excellent set of noiseless pickups in a variety of outputs.
I used these for a buddy's MIM Tele project this summer, and the upgrade in sound was amazing. Check it out, these pickups are excellent for the price.

If you are using the guitar for recording, you might want/like the noiseless pups.

On the other hand, a good shielding job, and you could use any pups that you like.

Good luck!

i actually just wanna practice. I don't intend on doing this... but somehow i feel that i will do a gig real soon in the future, maybe for some school thing. I know they have eighth grade day, and i saw a guitarist (with a thinline tele!!). Might join jazz band. (they don't have rock band) Maybe soon i will have just enough money. I only plan on replacing just one pickup, as a whole pickup set is too expensive for me. ANd besides, i use the neck position more often, and the bridge isn't so bad. Lace sensors are looking real good to me right about now... :)

I know these pups weren't mentiond in the poll but I have a 2002 Squire that has 57/62 pickups. My other Squire is possibly going to get red and blue Lace Sensors or LS humbuckers.
