I have a squire affinity that goes through a boss blues driver and an electo-harmonix pulsar into a fender 15 frontman. Never ceases to amaze me the sounds that come out. Great guitars period. Be well and enjoy!--Alan

Count me in. This is my first Fender Strat. Its an Affinity series that I got for $50.00. It needs the knob on one tuning head and a nut on the inout jack. I thought it was a pretty good deal.

Hey room, I;m in my thirties and I've Only recently started playing the guitar. I have an affinity strat and can't wait to get home from work every day to play. I will post pics soon. I am looking at buying a squire tele, would the standard be ok for a relative beginner or should I be looking more towards a classic vibe or something of the like. I'll get a pic up soon and I love this room.

Its really a matter of preference and $$$...the vintage modifieds are fantastic for the money, or you could go for a mim Fender model for a little bit more cash. Also as you mentioned the classic vibes are a line I have heard nothing but good things about. Both would be fairly significant upgrades over the standard series.

That being said I have a standard series strat and am happy with the body, the neck could be better, but the pickups are a little bright sounding for me.
