Just got mine 2 days ago. Buddy of mine is coming over this weekend to set it up and get it sounding perfect. I love playing this guitar(even though I just started playing 2 days ago :D )

Norm, welcome to the forum, and welcome to this addictive pastime of ours. That's a cool-looking axe you have there. Enjoy! 8)

Deluxe Strat in Daphne Blue. I love this color....second only (maybe) to Surf Green. Had it restrung with D'Addario Chrome Flatwound 11's and added a spring.

Go to www.ThreeChordGuitar.com or look on YouTube for songs. You will need to learn the basic chords like an A,C,D and a barred E chord proficiently to get through ThreeChordGuitar lessons. This site is the best I've seen so far. But look around the YouTube and also the guitar mags until you figure out what you want to do.

Good luck and practice, practice, practice.

Nice site but it looks more for advanced players.

I think a beginner needs to concentrate on a couple of basic chords and learn as many songs/combinations as possible with those chords.

I've been playing for 20 plus years and being the no talent that I am I have found that YouTube is a pretty good way to learn a song if you can keep up with the chord changes.

This is a great time to learn guitar unlike the years I spent trying to figure out a song from a piano book.

Thanks for the site and your resourcefulness Wild Rose.
