Okay so today i just did my first setup of an electric, by myself. YAY!

The 6th string buzzed at the saddle, took it out, stretched it, put it back in (though not so nicely) and no more buzzing!

raised the pickups on the bass side for a hot sound, and now they sound real nice (though better at a little higher volumes on overdrive)

moved one of the springs in the back and adjusted the bridge block

IS there anything else?

i also wanna intonate my strings and adjust the action, but i don't have an allen key

yeah i probably should, that might be the reason that the 12th-14th frets on the high e are fretting out when i bend them higher than a half step.

Thanks CAFeathers

But how do i adjust the neck? screws on the back look nice and firm.

Way to go doing your own setup! I figure that if you do it yourself, you'll save money and learn a lot about your guitar in the process.

Here's a good step by step tutorial on how to do a basic setup. It takes a few tools, but nothing that you can't find for under $10 if you do some looking.

http://www.projectguitar.com/tut/tutorial1.htm

Note that you should go through this in order or things won't turn out just right.
